Worthy Sir

your poor Petitioner was Indicted
in December Sessions last for an assault
upon Isaac Scan< no role > upon which your poor
Petitioner gave notice on Monday the Twenty
Fifth of this Instant to appear and plead Quality
which he accordingly did and the Court took
Compassion of his indigent Circumstances and
fined him a shilling which then Worships
was so good as to quit upon paying his fees

That your poor Petitioner is miserably
poor having a wife and family Sick and
himself out of business therefore most
humbly pray's that his said Bail and
himself may be discharged form there said
Bail and Recognizance which will be
a dead of Charity and your poor
unhappy Petitioner as in duty bound will
verpray Etc
