His Majesties Justices of the peace for the County of Middx Assembled at
Hicks Hall on Thursday the 7th. day of June instant being the County day of the
last General Sessions on reading the Letter you was pleased to send to the Committe
of Justices there the proceeding day, and upon hearing the Report of the sd. Committee [..]
concerning Extortions comitted by Mr. Robt. Wright< no role > the Coroner by Colour of his said Office
in unlawfully exacting and recieving divers sums of money of several Parish
Officers in your Division on taking Inquisitions on View of several Dead Bodies
are of opinion that he is guilty of Extortions and that it is highly proper that he
should be prosecuted for the said Extortions, And the said Justices so assembled as
aforesaid do in the strongest manner Recomend it to you that you will use your
utmost Endeavour to prevail with and engage the Officers of the several Parishes of
Ruislip and Cranford and any other Parishes aggrieved to comence a Prosecution
in the Court of Kings Bench next Term against the said Robert Wright< no role > for the said
Extortions, And that the Indictments be preferred in the Court of Kings Bench by reason
the said Robert Wright< no role > is in the Fleet Prison which is in London so that no proce [..]
from Hicks Hall can bring him before the Justices there to answer such Indictment
But if preferred in the said Court of Kings Bench, that Court can Order an Habe as
Corpus to bring him there to answer what Indictments, shall be found agt. him
