Thomas Greenhouse< no role > of Brook Street in the parish of Saint
Andrews Holborn in the County of Middlesex Upholsterer on his
Oath saith that yesterdayin the Eveningbeing the 16th. day
of Febry. Instantaboutbetween the Hours of Ten andand
Eleven of the Clock at Night he this Deponent was at the house
of John Pierce< no role > Victualler in Brook Strut aforesaid in a
publick Room there in Mist Company wherein there was also
present Thomas Singleton< no role > George Turey< no role > andothers John
Bamford
< no role > also the said John Peirce< no role > And this Deponent further
saith that upon some Words passing between John Arch< no role > and the
said John Bamford< no role > a Quarrell Arese between than thereupon
And this Deponent did then and there see the said John Bamford< no role >
Strike the said John Arch with a Stick four or five times but in
what place he hit him this deponent Cannot say, but at last the
said John Arch returned some Blows to the said John Bamford< no role >
Whereupon the said John Bamford< no role > Stabb'd the said John Arch
with a knife that he drewout of his pocket And when he this
deponent saw the knife in the said John Bamfords hands he
endeavoured to part them and more saith not
