At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King
holden for the County of Middx at Hickshall in St. John Street in the County
aforesaid by Adjournment on Saturday the Eighth Day of December
in the twenty fourth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign a Lord George the
Second King of Great Britain Etc.

Information being given unto this Court that same considerable
Damage hath lately happened to that [..] Part of Chertsea a Bridge which is
in the County of Middx and which usually hath been and ought to
be repaired when needfull at the Charge of the Inhabitants of the
Said County which Damage was occasioned by some Barge or
Barges passing under the said Bridge and running too close
or pressing upon that Part of the Bridge so Damaged, and that
it is necessary that the same should be repaired This Court
being of Opinion that it will be much better that the aforesaid Part
of the Said Bridge so Damage should be repaired in some conver [..]
ent Time than to have the repairing thereof deferred, [..]
Doth Order that it be And it as hereby recommended and referred
unto James Clitherow< no role > John Derbyshire Birkhead< no role > John Assiter< no role >
George Errington< no role > Boulton Mainwaring< no role > William Withers< no role > and
Samuel Beaver< no role > Esquires Justices of the Peace of this County and
such other Justices of the Peace as shall think fit to be present
or any three or more of them as a Committee to View the aforesaid
Part of the said Bridge which is in the County of Middx and to
take to their Assistance such able Workman or Workmen as they
shall think proper, and to see where and in what manner the same
is Damaged, and to see and take an Account of what repairs and
Amendments are wanting and necessary to be done to the aforesaid
Part of the said Bridge which is in the County of Middx to the Intent that the same May be well
and Sufficiently repaired and amended, And to make an Estimate
of what it may cost to repair and amend the same with good [..]
