At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the County of
Middx at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the County aforesaid by adjournment on Monday the ninth day
of October in the twenty third year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second King of Great
Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role > William Withers< no role > George Errington< no role > Walter Berry< no role > Esquires and other
their Fellows Jutices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also
to hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed in the same County.

Whereas the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Matthew Friday Street
London have exhibited their humble Petition and Appeal unto this Court Setting forth that by an
Order under the hans and Seals of Thomas Lediard< no role > and Gideon Harvey< no role > Esquires two of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the City and Liberty of Westminister in the County of Middx (one being
of the Quorum) bearing date the sixth day of September last Mary Marman< no role > Widow of Richard
Marman
< no role > deceased and their three Children Richard< no role > aged Eight Years Isaac< no role > aged near six years
and Abraham John< no role > aged upwards of three years were removed from the Parish of Saint
Margaret in the said City of Westminster in the County aforesaid to the said Parish of Saint Matthew
Friday Street in the City of London as the Place of their last legal Settlement And that the
Petitioners thinking themselves aggrieved by the Judgment of the said two Justices appeal to this
Court against the said Order Whereupon at the request of the Petitioners and for several
reasons offered to this Court It is Ordered that the benefit of the said Appeal be saved unto the
Petitioners and that the hearing and determining thereof be and the same is hereby adjourned
untill the next General Session of the Peace to be holden for the said County of Middx And [..]
the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Margaret in the
said City of Westminster (upon Notice of this Order) and all Persons concerned do attend the
Court of the said next General Session of the Peace to be holden for the said County by adjornment
on Tuesday the fifth day of December next at ten of the Clock in the Forenoon of the same day
to hear and abide the Judgment and Determination of the same Court touching the said
Appeal
