, taken before me this 5th. day
of August 1749.
Who being upon Oath says, that on the first day of this Instant
August he received from a Woman who came into his Master's
Shop a threatning Letter Signed March the purport of which is
hereunto Annexed, And this Informt. says that a Person now present
who calls herself Elizabeth Hart< no role >
came into his said Masters Shop
and [..] asked for a Childs Guide, upon which this Informant
shewed her one, Says that she sett herself down and asked him if
he knew one Bailey a Poulterer
, to which this Informt. replyed
he did not upon which she asked him if he knew one March,
to which he answered no, Says that thereupon she told-
him that she could tell him some Instances that was [mark] too
Shocking to Name, Says upon that he had her immediatly
Secured, and says that as he was bringing her before a Magistake
She asked this Informt. why he did not pay the ten Guineas to
save his Friend.
