At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our sovereign Lord the King
holden for the County of Middx at Hickshall in St. John Street in the County
aforesaid by adjornment on Wednesday the fifth day of July in the twenty third
year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the second King of Great
Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role > Peter Elers< no role > John Tall< no role > Walter Berry< no role > Esqrs .
& other their Fellow Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the
peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear & determine divers felonys
trespasses & other misdeeds committed in the same County,

Whereas the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Botolph
without Bishopgate London exhibited their humble petition & appeal
unto this CourtMonday the third dayat this present General
Quarter Session of the peace begun & holden for the County of Middx
Monday the third day of July instant Setting forth That by Virtue of an
Order or Pass warrant Under the hands & seals of two of his Majesty's
Justices of the peace for the County of Middx (one whereof being of the
Quorum) made the twelfth day of April one thousand seven hundred-
and forty Nine (and dated by Mistake the twelfth day of April 1748)-
Ann Perry< no role > otherwise steed< no role > Singlewoman was removed from the parish-
of St. Luke in the County of Middx to the parish of St. Botolph without Bishopgate
London aforesaid alledging the last legal place of Settlement of the said Ann-
to be there, And that the Petrs. conceiving themselves agrieved by the said
Order and Judgment of the Said two Justices did humbly appeal therefrom,
the matter of which appeal was appointed to be heard by this Court on this present
Wednesday the fifth day of July instant (the Session of the peace above mentioned
[..] by adjornment as above for the said County
Middx). Now upon hearing of what was [..] alledged by Councel for the-
Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the said parish of St. Luke praypraying
that the hearing of the said appeal may be adjourned and offering several
reasons for the purpose This Court upon hearing of Councel for the said
Appellants Doth Order that(on paymt. of the sum of twenty shillings by the
Churchwardnes & Overseers of the poor of the said parish St. Luke unto the sr. Appellants

[..] the hearing & determining the matter of the said appeal be adjourned untill
the next General Session of the peace to be holden for the said County of Middx And
that the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of both the said parish and all persons
concerned do attend the Court of the said next General Session of the peace to be-
holden for the same County by adjournment on Tuesday the fifth day of September-
next at ten of the clock in the forenoon of the same day to hear and abide the Judgmt.
and determination of the same Court touching the said appeal
