upon his oath says yt about three of ye
Clock this morning he was call'd up in order
to dress a person that was wounded that
when came to ye place he saw ye deceas'd
John Pitts< no role > lying upon ye ground very bloody
with seeral wounds at his breast & belly
& his Cant hung out that perceiving ye
wounds were mortal as he apprehended he
orderd him to be carried to ye London Infirmary
& more Says not this Depontnt.

Says that ye Deceased John Pitts< no role > & he are
Journeyman to John Jones< no role > Gunsmith in
Goodmans yard that they have lain together
about four years, That about twelve or
one of ye. Clock this morning he got out of bed to let
ye Sd. Jno. Pitts in That when he came in
he was drunk & quarelsom That after they
went to bed he went to Sleep but was
awakned by Jno. Pitts lying upon his
breast & all most Stifling of him That
upon his speaking to Pitts to lie from
of his breast he was very angry with
him & Swore he would kill him, which to
prevent he Went into ye next room & took
a Bayonet where with her believes he
might Strike & wound ye sd. Jno Pitts< no role >
That he had no Malice against him
but believes he scarce knew what he
did being very Sleepy neither did he
intend to kill him
