To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex at their General Quarter
Session of Peace Assembled.

The Humble Petition & Appeal of Richard Osgood< no role >
of the Parrish of Fulham in the County of Middx
Mallster & Brewer

Sheweth


That on the Twenty second day of April last at the House
of Mr. John Filks< no role > scituate in Covent Garden in the County of Middx Your
Petitioner Appeared before Thomas Burdus< no role > Esqr & Peter Elers< no role > Esqr
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County upon a
Summons by them Issued upon a certain Information & Complaint
exhibited against Your Petitioner by Edward Whinfield< no role > Gent one of
the Collectors of his Maty's Revenue of Excise bearing Date the
Sixteenth day of April last for the Forfeiture of Thirteen Pounds
Twelve Shillings & Six pence therein said to be by Your Petr. incurred
for & by reason of his treading & forcing together a Coach of Wetted
Barley in order to the making into Malt within three Months
before the making the said Information & Complaint against the
form of the Statute in that Case made & Provided And that the
said two Justices then & there gave Judgment & Sentence against
Your Petr for the forfeiture aforesaid upon the Information &
Complaint aforesd.

And That Your Petr. conceiving himself aggreived thereby
doth humbly Appeal to Your Worships agt. the same.

Your Petr therefore humbly Prays such
relief in the Premissed as to your Worships
shall seem meet

And your Petr shall every Pray Etc.
