Indictment Setsforth That Deft and One Edward Bygrave< no role > now deced falsely conspiring
to injure One Wm. Frankland< no role > in his good name and to cause him to be imprisoned for felony on the
9th: of Nov: 1739 at Kensington in the County of Middx with force and Arms Etc did combine conspiracy
and agree to procure the said Frankland (he being [..] then a Prisoner in Newgate) to be charged
upon Oath before a Justice of the peace for Middx with a felony comitted by him in Oxfordshire
and to cause him to be detained in Newgate for the same, And for that purpose the said By grave
should Psonate one John Space< no role > of Aynoe on the Hill in Northamptonshire Salesman And to
compleat their said Conspiracy Deft and said By grave on said 9th: Nov: at Kensington Etc did go
before one Wm. Morice< no role > Esqr then a Justice of the peace for Middx And said By grave then & there in
the presence & with the knowledge & privity of Deft & in pursuance of their said Conspiracy (the said
By grave Psonating the said Sparce) before the said Wm. Morice< no role > did then falsely on his Oath Swear &
in writing affirmt That a person then in Newgate who went by the name of William Franklyn< no role >
"& by the Nick name of Rusly Dick (meaning the said Frankland then being in Newgate) did on ye
"20th: Oct 1736 attack him (meaning the said By grave who then Psonated ye said Spence) on ye highway
"as he (meaning Etc) was travelling between I slip and Weatley in Oxfordshire That said Frankland
"robbed him (meaning Etc) and forcibly took from him One Guinea, 15: in Silver a Silver watch & hatt
"And that the said robbery was comitted in the day time between 4 & 5 in the afternoon on said 20th
"Oct 1736 And that he (meaning Etc) was very positive that the person who robbed him was ye said
"Frankland As by said Examinacon appears Whereas ye said Wm Frankland< no role > who is in in entened
to have been called by the Nick name of Rusty Dick did not at any time attack robb or forcibly lake
