To the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Luke
in the Countyof Middlesex
and to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Saint Bartholomew the Great
in the City of London

and to each and every of them
Whereas Complaint hath been made by you the Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Luke
unto us whole Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) of the County aforesaid,
That Charles White< no role > Mary < no role > his Wife
& John < no role > aged about four years &
a half their Child are
lately intruded and Come. into your said Parish of Saint Luke

there, to inhabit asParishioners contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and are there like to become charge-
able, if not timely prevented: And Whereas, upon due Examinati-
on and Enquiry made into the Premises, Upon Oath and other
Circumstances

it appears unto us, and we accordingly adjudge, That the said
Charles White< no role > Mary & John
are
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish of Saint Luke
and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the said Charles Mary & John
is in the said Parish of
St. Bartholomew the Great
These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Luke aforesaid, that you
or some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said Charles
Mary & John
from your said Parish of Saint Luke
to the said Parih of St. Bartholomew
the great and them deliver
to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case made forthwith to
receive the said Charles Mary & John
into their said parish Care and provide for them
as their own Parishioner When under our Hands and Seals, the
2d. Day of November in the Year of our
Lord' One Thousand Seven Hundred and thirty seven
