Whereas Complaint hath been made by you the Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish ofSaint
Luke unto us whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for theCountyaforesaid,
ThatElizabeth< no role > the Wife of John Halse< no role > Mary< no role >
aged about five years & Elizabeth< no role > aged about
two years their [..] lawfull Children are

lately intruded& come-into your said Parish ofSaint Luke

there to inhabit as-Parishioner contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, andarethere like to become charge-
able, if not timely prevented: And Whereas, upon due Exminati-
on and Enquiry made into the Premises,Upon Oath & other
Circumstances

it appears unto us, and we accordingly adjudge, That the said
Elizabeth< no role > Mary< no role > & Elizabeth< no role > are

like to become chargeable unto the said Parish ofSaint Luke
and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the saidElizabeth< no role > Mary< no role > & Elizabeth< no role >
is in the said Parish of
St. Catherine near the Tower

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Luke aforesaid, that you
or Some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the saidElizabeth< no role >
Mary< no role > & Elizabeth< no role >
from your said Parish ofSaint Luke
to the said Parish ofSaint Catherine
near the Tower andthemdeliver
to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case made, forthwith to
receive the saidElizabeth< no role > Mary< no role > & Elizabeth< no role >

into their saidParish Careand Provide forthem
as their own Parishioners Given under our Hands and Seals, the
26thDay ofFebruaryin he Year of our
Lord One Thousand seven Hundred andThirty Six .
