To the Churchwarden and Overseers of the poor of the
Hamlet of Mile End new Town in the County of Middx
And to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of
the parish of St. Mary White Chappel in the sd. County

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us Two of his
Maties Justices of the peace for the sd: County (whereof one is
of the Quorum) by the Churchwarden & Overseers of the poor
of the sd. Hamlet of Mile End New Town That Ann the wife
of John Flannigan< no role > an Irishman & one who never gain'd any
Settlement in this Kingdom, & her Two Children (that is to say)
John< no role > aged Three year & James< no role > aged Two years the Lawfull
Issue of the sd: John Flannigan & Ann< no role > his wife, are lately
Come into the sd: Hamlet, Endeavouring to Settle there, contrary
to Law And that they are likely to be Chargeable to the said
Hamlet Wee the said Justices upon Examinacon of the premises
& of the sd: Ann Flannigan upon Oath, Do adjudge the Same
to be true & that the last place of the Legal Settlement
of the said Ann Flannigan is in the parish of St: Mary
White Chappel , in right of her Former Husband Charles Stewart< no role >
& of the sd: Two Children in right of their sd: Mother:

These are therefore in his Maties Name to require you
to remove & convey the sd: Ann Flannigan< no role > and the abovesaid
Two Children from & out of the sd: Hamlet of Mile End New
Town to the sd: Parish of St: Mary White Chappell & deliver
them to the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor there, or for
One of them, who are hereby required to receive & provide for
them according to Law Given undr: our hands & Seals ye:
2d: day of October in the year of our Lord 1736.
