To the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Mary White Chapel
in the County of Middlesex
and to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of [..] Trinity in the Minories
in the Liberty of the
Tower of London

Where as Complaint hath been made by you the Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
Mary White Chapel unto us whose Hands
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for the County aforesaid,
That James Herring< no role > and James< no role > aged eight
years and John < no role > aged four years the Children
and lawfull Issue of the said James Herring< no role > by
(Martha < no role > his late wife deceased) have
lately intruded themselves into your said Parish of Saint
Mary White Chapel
there to inhabit as your Parishoners s contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and are there like to become char-
-geable, if not timely prevented: And Whereas, upon due Examina-
-tion and Enquiry made into the Premises, upon the Oath
of the said James Herring< no role >

it appears unto us, and we accordingly adjudge, That the said
James Herring< no role > and James and John his
said Children are
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish of Saint Mary
white Chapil and that the last legal Place
of Settlement of the said James Herring< no role > and James
and John his said Children is in the said Parish of
Trinity in the Menories in the Liberty of ye Towr. of London
These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
Saint Mary White Chapel aforesaid, that you
of some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said James
Herring
< no role > and James and John his said
Children from your said Parish of Saint Mary
White Chapel to the said Parish of Trinity in the
Minories in the Liberty of ye Towr. of London and them deliver
to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them. together with this our Warrant, or Order, or a true
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case made, forthwith to
receive the said James Herring< no role > and James and
John his said Children
into their said parish- and provide for them
as their own Parishioners s Given under our Hands and Seals, the
Twenty fifth Day of July in the Year of our
Lord One Thousand Seven-Hundred and thirty five.
