this Deponent about ten days ago went to the Lodging of George abele< no role >
in St. Christophers Church Yard
behind the Exchange in Order to
get him to appear and give his Evidence for the Defendant in this
Cause where he this Deponent was informed by Mary Mimes< no role >
Servant
of the House that the said George Abell< no role >
was in Scotland
and would
not return till the latter End of this instant October and this Depon [..]
farther Maketh Oath that he went again on Sunday last to enquire
for the said George Abell< no role >
and had the same account as before from
the said Mary Mimes which several Informations this Deponent believes to be true And this Deponent farther maketh Oath
that the said Captain abell is a material Witness for the Defendant
without whose Testimony This Deponent is informed and verily
believes the Dependant cannot safely proceed to try this cause
