At the General Session of the peace of our Sovereign
Lord the King holden for the County of Middx at
Hicks hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid
by adjornment on Thursday the thirtyeth day of
August in the Seventh yeare of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the second King of Great
Britain France & Ireland Defender of the Faith,

Whereas John Rice< no role > was Indicted together with
Elizabeth Slack< no role > for unlawfullyin August Sessions
1732 for unlawfully taking & carrying away a
promissory Note under the hands of Edward Pocock< no role >
Edmond Slack< no role > John Thompson< no role > & John Whitney< no role > for
their payment of fourty shillings to John Adams< no role >
upon demand with lawfull interest, to which Indictmt.
the said John Rice< no role > hath pleaded Not guilty, It is
at the request of the said John Rice< no role > and upon
reading an affidt. on his behalfe made Ordered by
this Court that the said John Rice< no role > be at liberty to
try his traverse upon the said Indictment on
Wednesday the twelfth day of September next at
ten of the clock in the forenoon, And let Notice of
trial be given forthwith,
