To the Right Worshipful His Majesties
Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex in their General Sessions of
the Peace Assembled

The humble Petition of Elizabeth Flint< no role >

Sheweth


That your Petr: hath been this present Sessions
Convicted of a Petty Larceny for stealing two Pishes the property
of Fisher & hath been Sentenced by this Honble: Court to
be Publickly wip't round Spittle Fields Market

That Your Petr: hath two small helpless Children is a
Widow & gets both her & their Maintenance by her Hand labour

That Your Petr: is exceeding Sorrowful for this Offence
and will for the future behave Honestly & Industriously But
if she shall be publickly Punish't will be in [..] tably Ruined
and her Children brought to the Parish

Therefore Your Petr: most humbly implores and
intreats Your Worships will be pleased to Order
that the above Sentence to be [..] altered to a Private
Punishment

We the under written humbly
recommend the Petitioner as a
Proper Object of Compassion and
humbly desire her request may be
Granted.

And she as in Duty bound will ever pray Etc
