To the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish ofSt. Martin in the Fields
in theCountyofMiddlesex
and to the Church-wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Giles in the
Fields in thesaid County of Middlesex
and to each and every of them

Whereas Complaint hath been made by you the Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish ofSt Martin in
the Fields unto us whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(Quorum unus) for theCountyaforesaid, That
James Rowning< no role > a Child aged about 7 years is

lately intrudedand Comeinto your said Parish of
St. Martin in the Fields
there to inhabit asParishioner contrary to the Laws relat-
ing to the Settlement of the Poor, and isthere like to be-
come chargeable, if not timely prevented: Jno whereas, upon due
Examination and Enquirty made into the Premises,as also on
Oath and other Circumstances
it appears unto us, and we accordingly adjudge, That the Said
James Rowning< no role > is

likely to become chargeable unto the Said Parish ofSt. Martin
in the Fields and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the SaidJames Rowning< no role >
is in the Said Parish of
St Giles in the fields in the said County of Middlesex
These are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the Said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St. Martin in the Fields aforesaid, that you,
or Some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the saidJames
Rowning

from your Said Parish ofSt. Martin in the
Fields to the Said Parish ofSt. Giles in the
Fields in the County of Middlesex aforesaid anddeliver
to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor, there, or Some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant, or Order, or a true
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in Such Case made, forthwith to
receive the SaidJames Rowning< no role >

into the SaidParish and Careand provide [..] him
as their own Parishioner, Often under our Hands and Seals, the
three and TwenthethDay ofOctoberAnno Regni Dui nro
Georgy sedi Regisnunc Magne Britannie, Etc. Sexto
