The humble Petition and
appeal of the Church wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Christ Church in ye said
County

Sheweth


That by warrant or order Dated the 11day of Augt.
Instant under the hands and seales of Peter Gifford< no role >
and John Mercer< no role > Sqrs. two of his Majesties Justices of ye
Peace for ye county for Middx (Quor un) Elizabeth
Shepard
< no role > widow of Joseph Shepard< no role > and Paul< no role > their
Child aged almost two years were removed from
the Parish of St. Giles in the Feilds in ye
County of Middx to the Parish of Christ Church
in ye said County as the Place of their last
Legall Settlement

That Your Petitioners find themselves agreevied by the Warrt. or
under of the sd Two Justices and humbly appeal against ye
same your Petitioners therefore humbly pray you will be
Pleased to Order to Church wardensa and Overseers of the Poor
of the sd. Parish of St. Giles in the Feilds and all other
Persons concerned to attend this court Some day this Present
Sessions to hear and abide the Judgement and Determinats
of the Court Touching the Premisses and that your Petiticon
may have such Relief therein as to Justice and Lw
Doth apperta [..]

And your Petitioners shall Pray Etc
