hath pleaded not Guilty to an Indictment against him for
Assaulting beating and Wounding One Elizabeth Evance< no role > And also
to Another Indictment for Assaulting beating and Wounding
Sarah Evance< no role > , is remanded and comitted to New prison aforesaid
for Want of Sufficient Sureties for his Appearance att the next
General Sessions of the peace to be held for this County to prosecute
his traverse with Effect upon the said two several Indictments
to remain till he finds such Sureties then to be delivered Paying
his Fees 9s:4d

the middle Upwards & publickly whipped att a Carts Tayle from a
Certaine place called the bottom of Oakham Hill along the Comon
Highway or road there to And Over Against the Dwelling house of
Mr Thomas Burgesse< no role > in the parish of Hendon in this County
untill his body be bloody att such time as the Sherriffe of this
County shall forthwith Appoint, And the said John Statham< no role > is
remanded & comitted to New prison att Clerkenwell aforesaidin
this County there to remain till he Undergoe the said punishment
then to be delivered paying his Fees 4s:8d
