To the Worshipfull his Majestys Justices of the peace
Assembled in General Quarter Sessions held in and for the
County of Middlesex

The Humble Peticon and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Ovrseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St: Mary Newington in ye. County
of Surry .

Humbly Sheweth


That Phebe Smith< no role > Widow of William Smith< no role > and her three Children
Wereby an Order or Warrant under the Hands and Seals of Samuel
Webb
< no role > and Stephen Hall< no role > Esqrs . Two of his Majestys Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex bearing date the 3d Day of March
last Removed from the Parish of St. John at Hackney in the said
County of Middx to the said Parish of St: Mary Newington in the
County of Surry as the Place of their Last Legall Settlement

That Your Peticoners Humbly Conceive they can
make it Appear to this Court that the place of the
last Legall Settlement of the said Phebe Smith< no role > is
not in the Parish of St. Mary Newington

Your Peticoners therefore Humbly pray
Your Worships will be pleased to Order that the
Churchwardens and Ovrseers of the Poor of the
Said Parish of St. John at Hackney may Attend
this Court for the Hearing the said Appeal at Such
time as Your Worships Shall Appoint.

And Your Peticoners shall ever pray Etc.
