the said Clerks of the Markett or their Sufficient Deputy at A
Court to be holden on Tuesday the fourteenth day of March next
at the sign of the Kings Armes Taverne in Shoreditch by ten
of the Clock in the forenoon of the same day to serve as Jurors
at their said Court for the examining of weights & Measures
and to inquire into & prsent all abuses in weights or measures
with Such other matters & things whereof the said Clerkes
of the Markett have powerby the the said Letters Patent to
inquire into and that the said Constables likewise Sumon
to appeare before the said Clerks of the Markett at the day
& hour aforesaid all Psons useing weights or Measures to buy
or sell by within the places aforesaid that such psons useing
weights & Measures doe bring along with them to the said Court
all such weights & Measures to be tryed & Examined there by ye
Kings Standard And for the more certaine knowledge thereof
the said petty Constables are to returne to the said Clerks of the
Markett at their Said Court A true List of the Christian names &
Surnames of all Psons useing weights or Measures within
the places afore menconed And thereof the said high Constable
is not to faile at his peril This Court upon consideracon had of
the aforesd Warrant issued forth by the said Clerks of the Markett
to ye sd high Constable Is of Opinion that the Sames is illegall
& ought not to be Obeyed for that the aforesaid places therein
menconed are distant & remote & out of his Maties Palace &
Prcincts thereof comonly called the little Virge And doth
thereupon (Nemine contradicente) Resolve that the Court
of Generall & Quarter Sessions of the peace for this County
will Stand by & Support all the high Constables & other
Officers of this County who shall act in pursuance of the
Said resolucon or Declaration made by this Court on the
Said twenty third day of February Instant And doth Order
that a coppie of the said resolution made by this
Court be alsoe delivered to the High Constables of this
County.
