In persuance of an order made at the Generall Quarter Sessions held for this County on the
twenty first day of april In the twelfth yeare of his prsent Majestie whereby itt
was referred to us whose Names are Subscribed and to Severall other Justices of
the peace to audit the Account of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of
the parish of St James Clerkenwell in this County for the yeare Seaventeen Hundred
Twenty Five, and to report state of the said Accts. with theire opinion in writeing
Wee doe hereby Certifie That having been attended by the said Churchwarden
& Overseers for the yeare 1725. and theire Amounts being produced and
examined by us. Itt appeares That the Thomas Ilyde< no role > Churchwarden in that
yeare hath received for the use of the poore the Sume of Three and Forty, pounds
Eight Shillings and that her hath paid and disbursed out of the Same the Sume
of Five pounds Eleaven Shillings & Six pence,SoAnd that there remaines in his
hands on the Ballance of his account the Sume of Seaven and Thirty
pounds Sixteen Shillings & Six pence, and noe more which said Sume of
Seaven and Thirty pounds Sixteen Shillings and Six pence Wee are of opinion
ought to be forth with paid our by the saids hour as Ilyde to the present ovrseer
of the poor or to source of them

Wee have alsoe examined the Accounts of the overseers of the poor of the said parish
for the said yeare. 1725: And doe find That they have received the sume of
sixteen Hundred Sixty Six pounds Sixteen Shillings & Three halfe pence, That they
have paid and expended unto and on Account of the poor, as charg'd by than
in theire Accounts the Sume of Sixteen Hundred Thirty four pounds Seaventeen
Shillings & Six pence Half peny out of wch. wee have thought fitt to disallow
Four pounds being miscast. Fifty Shillings out of Few pounds charged for Interest
& One pound Twelve Shillings & Six pence spent at Monthly paiments of the poor
In all Eight pounds Two Shillings & Six pence disallowed which being taken out
of the disbursements charged, there remaines disbursed Sixteen Hundred Twenty Six
pounds Fifteen Shillings & Six pence Half peny And that sume being
deducted out of the Moneys by them reced, there remaines in the hands of
the Overseers of 1725 on the ballance of theire Accounts the Sume of
Forty pounds and Seaven pence and noe more WhichSume of Forty
pounds & Seaven pence Wee are alsoe of opinion ought to be forthwith paid
over to the prsent overseer of the poore of the said parish

Wee are alsoe of opinion That for the future Noe Churchwarden or Overseer of the
said Parish ought to charge or be allowed in his or their Accounts for any
Money to be spent at the Monthly painants of the poor, or any Expences
at making up the accounts of the overseers or any of them, or for keeping the
door an attending at the times when the pentioner are paid, Itt being
the duty and proper Business of the Bedle as wee Conveive, to attend on
