The Order of Nicholas Jeffreys< no role > and Nathaniel Boothe< no role > Esqrs . two
of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx (Quorum
Unns) having near the parish Church of St. Andrew Holborne made the
third day of December in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven
hundred and Twenty five according to the Statute in that case made
and provided touching a Female bastard Child (named Martha< no role > )
lately born in the Parish of St. Andrews Holborne above the Barrs in the
County of Middx of the body of one Susannah Lamb< no role > a Singlewoman
the keeping of which Child hath ever since the birth thereof been a charge
to the said Parish of St. Andrews Holborne above the Barrs and is likely so
to continue

First upon the Examinacon of the said Susannah Lamb< no role > (taken upon Oath
before Us) and other circumstances Wee do adjudge one William Boyce< no role > of the Parish of
St. George the Martys in the County of Middx Glazier the Putative Father of the said
Female bastard Child And Wee do hereby Order him the said William Boyee< no role > upon
notice of this our Order to Pay or cause to be Paid to the Churchwarden & Overseers of the
Poor of the said Parish of St. Andrews Holborne above the Barrs in the County of Middx
aforesaid or to some or one of Them the sume of Two Pounds and ten Shillings of
good and lawfull money of great Britaine for the releife of the said Female bastard
Child of the first four Weeks after the birth thereof and for the charges of the said
Susannah Lambs< no role > Lyeing Inn And also that He the said William Boyce< no role > shall weekly
and every week after the expiracon of the first four weeks aforesaid pay or cause to be
Paid to the said Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor or to the Churchwarden and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Andrews Holborne above the barrs for the time
being (their Successors) to some or one of Them the sume of two shillings & Six Pence of
like lawfull money for and towards the releife and maintenance of the said Female
bastard Child for so long and at such times as she shall be chargeable to the said Parisly
of St. Andrews Holborne above the Barrs untill she shall attain the age of eleven yeares (if
she shall so long live) at which time the said William Boyce< no role > shall pay or cause to be
Paid to the Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Andrews Holborne
above the barrs for the time being or to some or one of Them the sume of four pounds of
like lawfull money for and towards the putting forth Apprentice the said Female bastard
Child to some lawfull calling And further Wee do Order that the said William Boyce< no role >
shall pay and discharge the said Churchwarden & Overseers of the Poor and the Churchwarden
& Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Andrews Holborne above the Barrs for the time being
& every of Them of and from all debts Damages and demands already demanded or
contracted or that may hereafter be demanded or contracted of or by them or either of Them
for or by reason of the birth bringing up or maintaining the said female bastard Child
in any case whatsoever And Lastly Wee do adjudge that upon notice of this our
Order the said William Boyce< no role > find sufficient Sureties to the Churchwarden & Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Andrews Holborne above the Barrs for the time being
or to some or one of Them for the true performance of all and singular the respective
Articles and clauses contained in this one Order Given under our hands and Seales the
day and year abovewritten
