prison, And that if the Said John Geary< no role > dyed before he was by that meanes
reimbursed Such his expences that then the Same should be made good to his
Execrs. as the Justices of the peace for this County should direct, And that they alsoe
find by A report made unto this Court the fourth day of December One
thousand Seven hundred & twenty three by Robert Thornhill< no role > John Fuller< no role > and
William Cotesworth< no role > Esqrs . three of the Justices to whom the care of the Said repaires
was referred that the charges of Such repaires amounted to fourty two pounds
five shillings & Six pence, and that the Said John Geary< no role > had paid the Said
fourty two pounds five shillings & Six pence, which exceeded what remained
in his hands of the Said Yearly Sume of twenty pounds then due (being
onley ten pounds eight shilling & two pence) by the Sume of thirty One
pounds Seventeen shillings & four pence And that they doe alsoe find
that after makeing the Said Report there was paid by the Said John Geary< no role >
at Severall times for Repaires of the Said prison the Severall Sumes following
vizt for paviours work five pounds & Nineteen Shillings, For Carpenters
worke Seventeen shillings & ten pence, For Rag Stones for the pavemt.
Four pounds & Eighteen shillings, For painters worke thirteen shillings
amounting in the whole to the Sume of twelve pounds Seven shillings
ten pence, for which receipts had been Pduced to them which being
added to the Said thirty One pounds Seventeen shillings & four pence
will make the Sume of fourty four pounds five shillings & two
pence, And that they alsoe find that there was due from the Said John
Geary
< no role > for the twenty pounds P Annu from the twentyeth day of
October One thousand Seven Hundred & twenty three to the
twenty fifth day of April One thousand Seven hundred & twenty
[..] five (when he dyed) the Sume of twenty Eight pounds twelve
shillings & ten pence, which being deducted out of the Said fourty four
pounds five shillings & two pence, there remaines fifteen pounds twelve
shillings and four pence, And being alledged by the Said Francis Geary< no role >
that divers Sumes of Money have been laid out in white washing the Said
prison & in many other repaires for which he cannot find any vouchers
(his late Son being very remiss in keeping his papers and Accompt) And that
the upon examining into the truth of the Said allegation finding that the
Said prison was white washed & Some other repaires done Doe thinke it
may be reasonable to allow in respect thereof four pounds Seven
shillings & eight pence, which being added to the Said fifteen pounds
