Whereas John Fuller< no role > & William Cotesworth< no role > Esqrs . two
of his Maties. Justices of the Peace for this County of
Middx (Quorum unus) and inhabiting within the
Limits of or neare to the Parish Church of Laylam in
the said County did by an Order Under their hands &
Seales bearing date the Sixth day of April last adjudge
Thomas Head< no role > who was servant to Mon the twenty
third day of November in the Yeare [..] one
thousand seven hundred & twenty three to Mr. Almans
an Oyleman in Leadenhall Street in the City of
London the putative Father of a Male bastard child
borne in the said Parish of Laylam of the body of
Elizabeth Knight< no role > Singlewoman on the said twenty
third day of November one thousand seven hundred
& twenty three which is therein menconed to have
been since baptized by the name of Thomas< no role > and
at the time of makeing the said Order to be
chargeable to the said Parish & soe likely to continue
And did Order & appoint him the sd. Thomas Head< no role >
forthwith upon notice of the said Order to pay or
cause to be Paid unto the Church wardens & Overseers
of the poor of the said parish or to some or one of
them the sume of five pounds of lawfull money of
Great Britain Soe much being expended by the said
Church wardens & Overseers of the poor of the sd. parish
concerning the said Male bastard child As alsoe that he
