Maketh oath that about Twelve or fourteene Months past he happened to bound
bayle before Me Justice Dennett to a bench Warrt psoned out of this Honble Court agt
one Wm Hurdis< no role > a Bayliff upon an Indictemt in July Sessions (1724) for ye
Extorting of ye sume of Twelve Shillings & Six pence from one Issbella Hall< no role > [..]
Colour of his office, And further saith that he hath been Informed that [..]
Wm Hurdis< no role > Never appeared in ye said Court to plead to ye said Inditemt psusant
to this Depots recognizances Upon wch. he this Depot on or about the Thirtieth day
of June last Pcured another bench Warrt agt ye sd Hurdis< no role > upon ye said Inditemt
in order to bring him into Court and thereupon caused him to be Carried before
Mr Justice Johnson who Committed him to New Prisone but soon after took
bayle for his appearance ye next Sessions And Saith that ye said Hurdis< no role > Did
not appeare the next Sessions Psuant to his recognizance And by his not
Appearing he this Depot was oblidged to Psure my Sd Cheife Justice Raymend
Warrt upon ye said Inditemt and Caused [..] the said Hurdis< no role > to be taken
thereupon & Carried before Mr Justice Grose who also took bayle for his
Appearance this Prsent Sessions And further saith that he is Informed &
veryly beleives that the said Hurdis < no role > hath not Appeared & pleaded to ye
said Inditemt as yet And unless his this Depots recognizances is respited
untill ye next Sessions by order of this Honble Court ye same will be [..]
and thereby much Impoverish him this Depst
