Where as it appeareth unto us two of his Maties. Justices of the
peace for the County of Middlesex (Quor unus) That by virtue of a
Certificate under the hands and Seales of Thomas Mormandy< no role > and
Thomas Malyn< no role > then Churchwardens Joseph Young< no role > & James Coulter< no role >
then Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Saviours
Southwark in the County of Surry Signed and allowed by Ralph
Hartley
< no role > & John Riches< no role > Esqrs . then two [..] Justices of the Peace
for the said County of Surry And bearing Date the twenty third
day of October in the year of Cur Lord One thousand Seven
hundred (there by owning & acknowledging Benjamine Topping< no role >
& Jane < no role > his wife to be inhabitants legally Settled in their said
parish of St. Saviours Southwark ,) The said Benjamine Topping< no role >
did come to reside & live in the parish of Heston in the County
of Middx . And Whereas it appeareth unto us the said Justices
that during the residence of the said Benjamine < no role > & Jane < no role > at
the said parish of Heston they had two Children born on the
body of the Said Jane < no role > (vizt. Mary < no role > aged about Seven
Yeares & Bland < no role > aged about Six yeares And
Where as Complaint hath been now made unto us the said two
Justices of the peace for the Said County of Middx (Quor unus)
by the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor. of the Said Parish
of Heston upon Oath That ye. said Benjamine Topping< no role >
during his residence in the Said parish of Heston never did
acquire any legall Settlement there, And that the said
Benjamine Topping< no role > is now dead & that the said Jane < no role > his wife
is [..] Dead Also and that the Said two Children mary < no role > and
Bland < no role > are both become Chargeable to the Said parish
Wee the said Justices do therefore adjudge the said parish of St.
Saviours Southwark in the County of Surry to be the place of the
Settlement of the said mary < no role > and
Bland < no role > the said two
Children and that they are both become chargeable to the said
parish of Heston And Do therefore in his Maties. name
Charge & Comand the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor
of the said parish of Heston forthiwith to remove & convey
the said mary < no role > Bland < no role > the Said two Children
from their Said parish to the Said parish of St. Saviours
Southwark & deliver them to the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor there or to Some or one of them who are hereby
required to receive them into their care & to provide for
them according to Law Given under Our Hands & Seals
this 29th. day if August Anno Dom 1723

To Yr respective Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the
respective parishes of Heston in the County of Middx
& St. Saviours South wark in ye County of Surrey & to
every of them.
