To the Rt. Worshipfull His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for
the County of Middlx in Their Genl. Qurarter Sessions Assemble

The Humble Petition Peter Cresswell< no role > Master or Keeper
of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell .

Sheweth


That Since your Petr. being Elected Master or Keeper of the said
House of Correction , The House wherein he lives is become very much out of Repaire
so that in Divers places thereof it Raineth into the same. And your petr. further
humbly Sheweth, that The Brickwell which parts the said Prison from the
Corporation Work House is in great Danger of falling, whereby the Life of some
of the prisoners may be Endangered if not Speedily Prevented. and also that
that There is not a Sufficient number of Blocks and Beetles wherewith to Sett The
Prisoners to work.

Wherefore your Petr. most humbly prays your Worspps.
will be pleased to order Such necessary Repaires may be
made to the Said prison as that The House may be kept
Dry the wall Supported or Rebuilt and a Sufficient
number of Blocks and Beetles for the Prisoners to work
at:
