The Case of Luke Nugent< no role >

About eighteen months agoe living then at the
Seven dials John Nugent< no role > now in the temple but
then living in little wild street being arested sent
a porter for me to the Vine tavern in Druerry lane
and he asked me if I would be Baile for him and
that the dett was Sixteen pound I desired to let me
know what it was for he Could me he was bound for
another and I should come to noe damate by it upon
the Same one of the Barlift and I came Baile for
him, the writ being in the Common plea and he being
an Etur [..] of that Court dischared me of that write
he being arested a second time in the Shirif Court
and I being one his Baile thy came to enquir for me
and this Could me that I was partly concerned in taking
ye money with John Nugent< no role > and that I writ my name
Christopher Nugent< no role > upon the Same thay arested John
Nugent

Satisfied in Dod ye paily and his partiner so for that
he Could him plainly [..] money that was tent I knew
nothing of it they took his baile bond and I was dischared
in a month time after they came to my house and would
not admite me Baile but brough me to the Best Sponging house at the
Same time the writ was out of date Psent to John Nugent< no role >
to Baile me he Never came near me I was obliedged find baile
at ye Same time I made oth before Sr : Peter King< no role > that I had
[..] the money, John Nugent< no role > run me unto a Suit of Law and there
came a execution upon me which trew me out of
house or being so that he had better cut me treat then
to send me Straving in my ould dayes into a goale

Mr: Dod and his partiner will give their oth that he
Cleared me of ye mony that was lent
