To the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Librty
of Saffron Giles in the parish of St Ann Holborn in the
County of Middx; And to the Church wardens And Overseers
of the poor of the parish of St Clements Dean in the
Said County And to Every or Either of them.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you unto us whose
Hands and Seals are hereunto set tow of his- Majesties
Justices of the Peace (Quorum unus) for the County of Middx
aforesaid, that Elizabeth Shephard< no role > wife of Rowland Shephard< no role >
and their three Children Ann< no role > the Eldest daughter Aged About Six years
John< no role > their Son aged About four years and Eleanor< no role > their [..] Aged two years
lately intrudedinto your said Liberty
of Saffron Ell Etc there to inhabit as yor Parishioners contrary to
the Laws relating to the Settlement of the Poor, and is there likely
to become Chargeable, if not timely prevented. And whereas up-
on due Examination and Enquiry made into the Premisses taken
Upon Oath of Elizabeth Shephard< no role > it appears
unto us, and we accordingly Adjudge, That the said Elizabeth
Shephard
< no role > wife of Roland Shephard< no role > & thier three Children is
likely to become chargeable, and that thier last Legal Place of Set-
tlement was in the Parish of St Clements Dean he be-
-ing a Yearly, Servant and this lived above a Year
and received wages And gaines no Other legall
Since Else where.

THESE are therefore in his Majesties Name to Order and
Require you the said Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
Saffron Eill Etc aforesaid, That you, or some of you do forth-
with remove and convey the said Elizabeth Shephard< no role > and her
three Children from your said Liberty
to the Parish of St Clements aforesaid, and them deliver
to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true
Copy hereof, whereby they are likewise requir'd in his Majesties
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Cafe made, forthwith
to receive the said Elizabeth Shephard< no role > with her three Children
into their said Parish and provide for them
as their own Parishioner. Given under our Hands and Seals; the
2s day of Febry Anno Regni Regis Dom
Georgy nunc Magnx Britannix, Etc. Octavo
