maketh Oath That on the
Sixth day of this instant month of January he was imployed by Mr

one of the Constables of the Same Parish to
convey

a Vagrant & her two young children from the said
parish of St. Giles in the Fields
to the parish of Denham
in the County of
Bucks in Order
in ordersfor their passage to the parish of Twyford
in
the said County of Bucks to which parish the said vagrant & her two
Children were to be passed by Warrant under the hand & Seale of one

Esqr one of his Maties: Justices of the Peace for the said
County of Middlesex
That on the day above menconed this Depont.
conveyed the said vagrants & her two children from St. Giles in the Fields
onwards to Uxbridge
but when he came there he was forced to lye there
that night by reason it was to late to deliver the said vagrant at
Denham That the next morning he conveyed the Said vagrant &
her two children to Denham where he delivered them with the pass
warrant to

of the said parish & demanded
a receipt from him But the Sd.

refused to give this Depont
any receipt but had him before Sd.

a Justice of peace in
the same parish who comanded this Depont. to take the said vagrant
back again by reason as he alledges that they were not brought
Denham in one day but thus Depont. refusing to take the said
Vagrant & her children back again the said Sr

the said Constable to take this Depont. in to Custody whilst he
made his mittimus to the house of Correction That afterwards the said
Sr

went into another roome & called the Constable to him
but what they said there this Depont: did not hear & when the
Constable came out of the said Room he tooke the Vagrant & her two
children & putt them in a Cage wear the said Sr

house where this Depont: did againe demand a receipt of the
said Constable but the said Constable refused to give him any
saying the Justice had charged him to the contrary
