Thomas Shorter< no role > Gent maketh oath that he this Dept
did on the twenty sixth day of Aprill instant Search the
Muster Books in the Tickett Office London belonging
to his Maties ship Defyance where this Dept. found
that John Raper< no role > (Midshipman of ye sd. Ship) Deft in
this Cause had the Muster Letter agt. his Name [..] on the
said Ships Book the 24th day of Febry last which
(as this Dept. was [..] Informed [..] said office by Mr
Owen ye Principal Person there) was the last book
Re [..] from the said Ship And this Dept. further
Saith that he doe verily beleive the said Jno Raper< no role >
is now at Sea in his Maties service on board the
said Ship Defyance . And this Dept. also Saith
that the offence supposed to have been Comitted agt.
Robert Fenwick< no role > the Prosecutor in this Cause by the
said Raper & the press Gang of ye said Ship Defyance
and for which the said Raper was bound over before
Mr Justice Johnson to Appear at the then next
Quarter Sessions to be held at Hick's Hall for the County of Midxis
intirely Made up and Agreed with the said Prosecutor
who has executed a general Release to the said Jno
