I having been at a great deale of trouble and Expense me
endeavouring to reform the abuses which have been Comitted in and about
his Majesties Chase of Endfeild in this County of which I am the [..] anger
and among the rest there being two people by Name John Mason< no role > and
Thomas Day< no role > - who kept publick houses in the Chace Just in my Neighbou [..]
hood, who shelter'd Dee [..] stealers and other idle peoplewhichand kept very
disorderly houses I Complained of them at a petty sessions held at
Endfeild some time since, and on a full examination the Justices gave them
time to dispose of the drink in their Cellars and ordered them to sell no more
after the Expiration of that time Now I am informed that these people
design to make application at this sessions to have their licenses received
therefore give you this homble to arguamt you that if they prevaile in this
pomt All my endeavours for the Reformation of the abuses in the Chare
will availe nothing, when such people shall be permitted to keep houses for
the harbour of all Comers and goers to desiroy the wood and Ded and if the
Justices are inc [..] able to enter into any further examination in this matter
I only desire that reasonable notice may be given me for my wittnesses to
attend I am
