poore of the parish of St Giles without
Cripplegate in the Said County And to the
Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the
parish of Alhallows in Breadstreet London

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us
two of his Majesties Justices of the peace for the
County of Middx (quoyenns) by the Church
wardens & Overseers of the poor of the parish of
St Gile, without Cripplegate in the Said County.
That John Gobby< no role > with Margt< no role > his wife & three
Children John< no role > aged about Seaven yeares Thomas< no role >
aged about five yeares, and George< no role > aged about
three yeares, are came into the Said parish of St Giles
without Cripplegate endeavouring to gain a Settlemt
there Contrary to Law and are life so become
chargeable thereto unless timely prevented and
whereas upon the Examinacon of the Said John
Gobby
< no role > taken upon Oath it appeares unto or that the
Said John Gobby< no role > was a lined Servant to Mr Thomas
Gartell
< no role > & Mr.John Hostrus< no role > of Breadstreet in the
parish of Alhallows in Breadstreet London for the
Space of three yeares at the yearly wages of twelve
pounds And that he hath not gained any legall
Settlemt elsewere Therefore upon the proose
aforesaid Wee doe judge & deem the last legall
Settlemt of the Said John Gobby< no role > his wife & Children
to be in the Said Parish of Alhallows. in
Breadstreet London .

These are therefore in his Majesties Name So require you forthwith
to remove and Convey the Said John Gobby< no role > & Margarett< no role > his wife and
three Children John< no role > Thomas< no role > and George< no role > from & out of the Said
parish of St Giles without Cripplegate to the Said parish of Alhallows
in Breadstreet London and deliver them to the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor there who are hereby required to provide for
them according to Law hereof Sail not at your perills Given under
our hands and Seales this 5th day of December Anno Din 1717 .
