We whose Names are Subscribed and Seals hereto
Affixed two of his Mats. Justices of the Peace for the County
and Liberty aforesaid (Quor un) Inhabiting within the
Limits of the Parish Church of the Parish of St. Margaret
Westmr. in the Liberty aforesaid in the County aforesaid
having met together and heard the Complaint of the Church
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Said Parish of Saint
Margaret Westmr. concerning a Female Bastard Child annexed Elizabeth born
in the Said Parish of St Margaret Westmr , of the Body of
Mary appleby< no role > Singlewoman on Sunday the Sixth day of
October last which Said Female Bastard Child hath from
the Birth thereof to the Date hereof been chargeable to the Sd.
Parish and is likely So to Continue, Do find upon Examinacon
of the Said Mary Appleby< no role > taken upon Oath and other Circumstances
That Thomas Sarsnet< no role > als Sarson< no role > of Hounslow in the County of
Middx aforesaid Inn keeper did beget on the Body of the said
Mary appleby< no role > the Said Female Bastard Child Therefore we
do Adjudge him the Said Thomas Sarsnet< no role > als Sarson< no role > to be the
reputed Father thereof And do Order and appoint him the Said
Thomas Sarsnet< no role > als Sarson< no role > forthwith upon Notice of this
our Order to pay to the Said Churchwardens and Overseers of the
poor of the Said Parish of St. Margaret Westmr. the Sume of
Two pounds and Tenn Shillings So much being laid out by
them for the lying In of the Said Mary Appleby< no role > and for the
Maintenance of the Said Female Bastard Child to the Date
hereof as aforesaid And for so long time after as the Female
Bastard Child Shall Continue to be Chargeable to the Said
parish Shall pay and allow unto the Said Churchwardens
& Overseers of the poor of the Said Parish and their Successes for
the time being the Sume of Two Shillings & Six Pence P Week
And Shall likewise allow for and towards putting the Said
Female Bastard Child Apprentice when Fitting the Same of
Four pounds Given under our hands & Seals this
25th. of November 1717 .
