The Informacon of Katherine Boswell< no role > als Greene< no role > als Tubbing< no role > and now the Wife of John Tubbing< no role > of Feckenham in the
County of Norfolke Taylor taken the seaventeenth day of of October Anno Dni 1717 .

Who upon her Oath sayth that she this informant was married to the said John Tubbing< no role > upwards of Eight years last past That
Boswell is her Maiden name and that she has severall times gone by the Name of green that about December last past she this
Informant on Oath made before M: Cragg Esqr one of his Majesties Justices of the peace for the Citty and Liberty of Westmr
Charged one Pentlow whose name as informed is William Pentlow< no role > Gentleman to be the reputed Father of a [..] Child of which
she this Informant was then pregnant And this Informant further sayth that she was much afflicted for takeing the said Oath
in Charging the sd: William Pentlow of being the Father of the said Child itt being false for that one Willoughby Strickland< no role >
was the reale and true Father of the Sd. Child tho' Charged as aforesaid tho' first persuaded thereto by Eliot Milkwoman
the wife of James Eliot< no role > of Bridges Street in or near Covent Garden saying Strickland was a poor Fellow and that the said
Pentlow was better also to keep the said Child then hee Also Informant further sayth that the last day of February last
past she fell in Labour in the parish of St: Swithen London and that the Officers thereof sent her this Informant to one
Roode the Parish house of Cripplegate and also gave the Parochiall Officers of Cripplegate parish Security to indempnifie itt
from all Charges that should ensue on Account of her lying In there as she is credibly informed and veryly belevies And further
sayth that on the first day of March last past she this Informant was deliverd of a Female Child in the said parish of Cripplegate
and afterwards named and baptized Frances < no role > in the parish Church of the said Parish of St. Swithen as informed further sayth that [..]
afterwards shewas on or about the two and twentieth of the said Month of March she this Informant was by the parochiall
Officers of the said parish of St Swithenlow conveyedconveyned before then Lord Mayor of London and there
Examined as to her Setlement who then on her Oath said that her husband John Tubbing< no role > was then living in or about London as informed
and beleived and that he was a Taylor by Trade and that his last legall Settlement was att Feckenham in the said County of
Norfolk all which Mary Deadman< no role > parish Nurse of the parish of St. Martins in the Feilds in the County of Middex and Gerrard
Smith
< no role > then one of the Overseers of the poor of the sd: parish of St: Martins very well knew and both much importuned this Informant
to swear that to or delivered in the Sd parish of St. Martins beitt in any Corner or hole thereof itt was noe matter And then the said
Nurse Deadmen named Camstersolly which [..] place she never heard of before and then she the Sd: Nurse Deadman and the said
Gerrard Smith< no role > Would on her to goe before Mr Cragg and Richd. Bealeing< no role > Esqrs two of his Majesties Justices of the peace for the
said Citty and liberty of ye twinster the Ninth day of April last and before them on Oath to Change the sd Pentlow Wh: the Sd. Child and
that her delivery of itt was in Canisters Ally in St: Martins Lane upon his the Sd: Smiths Assurance he would give boud penality two
hundred pounds to indempnifie the Sd: Nurse and this Informant from all Charges and trouble that should ensue hereafter on Ant
of the Sd: Oath made as manner as aforesaid. which was false;
