Wee whose hands & Seals are here unto set two of this Maties
Justices of ye: peace for ye County of Middx (one where of being
of ye: Quox) & inhiting wth, in ye Limits of ye Parish Church.
of ye: Parish of St Giles in ye: fields in ye: sd: County having
met together & heard ye: Complaint of ye: Churchwardens &
Overseers of ye: poor of ye sd; parish of St. Giles in the fields
concerning a Male Bastard Child born in ye said
parish on ye: body of Mary Dodson< no role > Single woman
on ye: third Day of February in the Year of our
Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifteen which
is baptized Richard < no role > and is now become chargeable to
the said parish and so likely to continue Do fine
upon Exaiacon of the said Mary Dodson< no role > taken upon
Oath That one George Baxter< no role > of Carryer Street in
ye said Parish of St. Giles in the fields did beget on
ye: body of her ye: said Mary Dodson the said Male
Bastard Child Wee ye: said Justices do adjudge him ye:
said George Baxter ye putative Father of ye said Male
Bastard Child And do order and appoint him ye: said
George Baxter forth wth: upon notice of this our Order
to pay to ye: sd: Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor
or to some or one of them the Sume of fifteen
Shillings of law full money of Great Britain by
them already expended concerning ye: sd: Male
Bastard Child as also that he ye: said George
Baxter Shall weekly & every week from hence forth
pay to ye: said Churchwardens & Overseers of ye poor
or to some or one of them ye: Sume of two shillings
& six pence of like lawfull money for & towards the
Releif & maintainance of ye said Male Bastard Child
for so long time as ye: said Male Bastard Child shall
remain Chargeable to ye: said parish and that he
shall of & from ye: Charge of ye: said Bastards Child
at all times here after save harmless & indemnifie
ye said parish of st: Giles in ye: fields. Given under
our hands & Seals ye: 22d Day of February anno
