Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us two of this maties
Justices of the Peace for the County of Midd (Quo 4 unus) by the
Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the parish of St. Giles in
the Fields in the said County That Mary Holloway< no role > aged about
eight years Daughter of Thomas Holloway< no role > & Elizabeth< no role > his
wife Deced is lately come into the said parish endeavouring
to settle there contrary to Law And it appear with unto as the
sd: Justices that she is likely to become chargeable to the said
parish And whereas upon Examination of Jane Ratford< no role > &
taken upon Oath it farther appeareth unto us That the said
Thomas Holloway< no role > about thirteen years since rented an
House in Oainder Street in the parish of St Martin in the
Fields in the said County of fourteen pounds sent by the
year where he continued about three years & them left the
said house & did not gain any other Settlemt, to the time
of his Decease wch hapned about a week since & wee
cannot find that the sd: Mary Holloway< no role > ever gained any
legall Settlemt. Wee the sd: Justices Do adjudge the said
parish of St. Martin in the Fields to be the place of the legall
Settlemt. of the said Mary Holloway< no role > Daughter of the said
Thomas Holloway< no role > & Elizabeth< no role > his wife And do therefore in
His Maties name charge & comand the Churchwardens &
overseers of the poor of the said parish of St Giles in the Fields
forthwth to remove & convey the said mary Holloway< no role > from
the said parish of St Giles in the Fields to the said parish
of st Martin in the Fields & deliver herto the Churchwardens
& Overseers of the poor there or to some or one of them who
are hereby required to receive her into their care & to
provide for her according to Law Given under our Hands
& Seals the 10th. Day of June Anno Dom 1715

To the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor
of ye respective parishes of st Giles in the
Fields & St Martin in the Fields in yr. County
of Midd & to all other officer's whom it may Concern
