Middx

The humble petition of John Wallis< no role >

Sheweth


That by Indenture Dated the Twenty Sixth day of June Anno
Dom 1714 one Jane Wallis< no role > a poor Child of the Parish of Hornsey
in this County was by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
poor thereof putt and placed to your Petitr to serve him
untill she should accomplish her full Age of Eighteen Yeares

That your Petitr was by agreement with the sd Churchwdns
to have five pounds with his said Apprentice But the
Churchwardens Did not pay yor Petitr the sd Moneys
at the Executing the sd Indentures Alledging they had
not then Moneys in their hands But promised him
payment soone after

That Your Petitr hath often Demanded the sd Moneys
but they refuse to pay him

Your Petitr therefore humbly
prays your Worspps will be
pleased to order the Churchwdens
and Overseers to attend this
Court some day this Sessions
to shew Cause why your Petitr
should not be paid the sd five
pounds [..] that they may be
other wayes relieved As to this
Court Shall Seeme Meete

And Yor Petitr: shall Ever pray etc
