To the Church Wardens and Overseers of ye poor
of the Parish of st Martin in the Fields in the
County of Middx And to the Chaple Warden And
Overseers of the Poor for the Precinct of the Savoy
in the Strand in the said County of Middx And
to each and every of them

Whereas it appears unto us Two of his Majts Justices of the
Peace for the said County of Middx (Quor un) That Robert
Batrup
< no role > apoor man aged about Fifty nine years and Mary< no role >
his wife are come and intruded into the said Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields contrary to Law And are become chargeable to the
said Parish whereof Complaint hath been made unto us by
you the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
parish of [..] Martin in the Fields .

And whereas it also appears unto us upon Examinacon
taken before us upon Oath and other Circumstances That the
said Robert Batrup< no role > was last legally Settled in the said
Precinct of the Savoy .

Wee the said Justices do therefore adjudge the said
Precinct of the Savoy to be the place of the last legall
Settlement of the said Robert Batrup< no role > and his said wife
And that they are chargeable to the said Parish ofst
Martin in the Fields.

These are therefore in his Majts. name to require &
comand you the said Church Wardens & Overseers of the
Poor of the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields to remove &
convey the said Robert Batrup< no role > and his said wise out of & from
your said parish unto the said precinct of the Savoy and them to.
deliver to theChurchChapple Wardenx & Overseers of the poor there
or to some or one of them who are hereby required to receive
the said Robert Batrup< no role > and his said wife into their Care
and to provide for them according to Saw Hereof Sailo not at
your perill Given under our hands and Peates the
Eleaventh- day of February Anno Dni 1714 And in [..]
the first year of his Majst. Reign King George of Great
Brittaine Etc.
