to the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the
poor of the parish
of St. Margretts a
foresaid and all other
[..] it doth Concern, Etc}

Whereas it appeareth unto us whose hands and Seales
are hereunto Set two of her Majs Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middx (Quorum Unus Etc a) upon Complaint of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the parish of
St. Catherines in the sd. County of Middx That Elizabeth Glover< no role >
wife of Saml. Glover< no role > Samuel< no role > their Son aged abt. 5 Years and
Eleanor< no role > their Daughter aged abt. 3 Years are lately come into the
sd. [..] of St. Catherines and [..] uring sd. Settle themselves there
Contrary to Law, And whereas upon a Strict examinacon of the
Circumstance of this Case wee cannot find that Saml. Glover the
husband of the said Woman and Father of the said Children hath
any legall Settlement whatsoever And it further appearing unto
us upon Examination of Witnesses that the said Saml. Glover
was Married to the said Elizabeth Glover [..] in the
[..] Parrish of St. Margetts in the liberty of Rochester within the County of Kent and there lived with her Some Years
and that the said two Children were born and Christned in the sd.
parish of St. Margetts wee do therefore adjudge that the said
two Children are lait legally Settled in the parish of St.
Margretts and likewise that by reason of their tender Age they
are incapable of provideing for themselves These are therefore
in her Majesties Name Strictly to charge and Command
you and every of you forthwith upon Sight hereof to remove
and Convey the said Eliz. Glover< no role > and her two Children from
the said parish of St. Catherines in the said County of Middx the next &
directedst way to the said parish of St. Margretts in the Said liberty
of Rochester in the Said County of Kent and deliver them to the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor there who are hereby
required to provide for the said Children according to Law
hereof fail not at your perrills Given under our hands and
Seales the 31st. day of March in the 13th year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lady Anne by the Grace of
God of Great Brittaine France and Ireland Queen defender
of the Faith Etc a Annoqr Dui 1714
