Whereas it appeares unto us whose hands and seales one
hereunto sett Two of her Majesties Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middsx (Quorid unus) Upon the Complaint of the
Churchwarden and Overseers of the poor of the
Liberty of
Saffron hill, Hatton Garden, and Ely Rents
in ye Prish of St
Andrew holborne
in ye County afordsaid, That
Joseph Carr< no role >
is come into their said Liberty Endeavouring to settle himself
therein Contrary to Law, and thereby become Chargeable to the
said Liberty: And whereas it appeares unto us the said Justices
upon the Examinacon of the said Joseph Carr upon Oath, That he
the said Joseph Carr about Two yeares agoe Rented a house
in
Eastsmith feild
in ye Prish of St John's Wapping
in ye Tower
Hamletts
in ye County afordsaid of Twelve pounds P Annu, and
that he never afterwards Rented any house of Ten Pounds P
Annu, nor paid any parochiall dutyes nor Ever gained any
Legall settlement since else where, We the said Justices do
therefore deem and adjudge & Prish of St John Wapping in ye
Tower Hamletts in ye County aforesaid to be yt place of & Last
Legall settlement of & said Joseph Carr and whether by Law
he ought to be sent

These are therefore in Her Majesties Name strictly to Charge and
Command you the Churchwarden and Overseers of ye Poor of ye
Liberty of Saffron hill, Hatton Garden and Ely Reaty in ye Prish
of St Andrew holborne in ye County afordsaid: forthwith to
Remove and deliver up ye said
