Arnold of the Pish of Edmonton in the
sd County of Middx taken upon Oath
this 18th. day of July 1709.

This Depont: Sayes upon her Oath [..]
that on Holy Thursday last being the
2d. of June Katherine Hicks< no role > then Coven
Servant wth: John Clocker< no role > of the Pish
aforesd Yeoman Came to this Dopon't to
gett her to goe to London wth: her and
promised to give her 8th for her days work [..]
When Comeing to London the sd Katherine
Hicks
< no role > went to a Gold Smiths Shop in
Bishopsgate streets and there bought two
Gold Rings which Cost her thirty Shills
and a Silver Thimble 18th, and that the sd
Katherine then payd for the Same in Silver
being Cheifly 5 Shills and ½ Chowne peices
then this Depont. asked the Sd Katherine
why the Should buy 2 Rings, she answered
truly she was often taken for ye Mistys is
and not for a Servants: Then this Depont.
wents wth: the Sd Katherine into Hounesditch
and there She bought a Petticoat Vat.13s:6d.
which She payd for in 5 Shills & ½ Chowne
peices Cheifly as aforesd, and afterwards
She bought a Silk Hankercheife which this
Depont. thinks Cost 3s. 6d: and Further [..]
