Whereas it appeareth unto us Whose hands and Seales are
hereunto sett Two of her Maties: Justices of the peace for the sd
County (Quorum unus) upon ye Complaint of the Churchward-
-en and Overseers of ye. poor of ye Liberty of Saffron Hill, Hatton
Garden and Ely Rents in the said parish of St: Andrews Holbourn in ye sd.
County that John White< no role > Labourer is Come into the sd: Liberty
in ye: said parish of St:Andrews Holbourn endeavouring to settle
him selfe there as an Inhabitant and is there Likely to become
Chargeable Contrary to the Statute in that Case made and
provided and Whereas it appeareth unto us the said Justices
upon the Oath of the said John White< no role > that he was a house
keeper in Garden Alley in the parish of St: James Clerkenwell
in the said County of Middx and that he did there pay his Share
of the taxes of the said parish and that he hath not gained-
any Legall settlement in any Other Parish Since Wee the said
Justices do adjudge the Legall settlement of ye. said John-
White to be in the Said parish of St: James Clerkenwell

These are therefore in her Maties: Name to Will
and Require you upon sight heroof to Remove and Convey ye said

and Ely Rents in ye. said parish of St.Andrews Holbourn to the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poore there (some or
one of them) who are hereby Required to provide for him accor
