Islington in & County of Middx Carpenter upon her Informacon upon
Oath Saith That on or abt: Thursday wch was ye Twenty first day of
October last in ye Forenoon of ye Same day, Shee unlockt A Trunk of
hers wch Stood in her Bed Chamber in her house in ye Parish aforesd
& listing up ye Lid of ye sd Trunk, ye Sd Lid came guite off, & this
Informe then found that ye Hinges of ye sd Lid had been ript off, &
searching in ye Sd Trunk She found that a Black Late string
Hood & Scars, Two pair of New Rid leather Gloves, A Green
Velvet Purse, wth five pences of broad Gold of ye value of Twenty
three Shillings & Six pence A peice, A Silver Natineg Grater &
Case, A Silver Tobacco, Stopper, A Small Medal of Ring Charles
& first, Two New England Shillings, Some Small Bits of
broken Money,the & Sixteen Shillings in Money in it had been stollen out of ye sd Trunk & A Bloom
colour'd Tabby Pettycoat laced wth Silver & Gold Lace, & A Stuff
Petticoat had been Stollen out of [..] A prsse. in
another Room in ye Sd house. And this Informt: further Saith That
upon Monday wch was ye Eighteenth day of October aforesd The sd
Trunk was not broke open & ye Goods & Money above mencon'd
to be Stollen out of it were then in it, & ye sd Tabby petticoat &
Stuff Petticoat were at ye Same time in ye Sd presse and this Informt
further Saith That on or abt. ye Twenty fifth day of Octobr: last one Elizabeth
Stanton
< no role > was taken for being guilty of ye Felony aforsd. & that ye Hood
& Stars & ye Two Pair of Rid leather Gloves abovemencon'd were
found in her Custody, as also One peice of broad Gold, & Eleven Shillings
in Silver, wch she ye sd Elizabeth own'd to have Stollen out of ye sd Trunk
And this Informt: further Saith That upon ye sd Twenty fifth day of
October upon a Search made in this Informt: house to see of any of ye sd
Goods could be found, the Trunk of ye sd Elizabeth Stanton< no role > was found [..]
under ye Bed of One Hester Condon< no role > who then was Nurse to A Gentleman
Child in her sd House & in that Trunk was found A Striped Gawse Hood
of this Informt: wch sd Head was stollen out of this Informt: Trunk as
aforesd
