John Caster< no role > Maketh Oath that upon ye one & twentyth day of Novr. he
saw (one ye calls himself Ralph Rumball< no role > of Edmeston in Wiltshire ) about her
or three of ye Clocken ye morning in ye Orchard, of Mrs Gibbs of Cranford
in ye County, Just under ye tree where her hers Sit, & he appeall a [..]
them, & Swears that when (as he Supposeth) the Sd Ralph Rumball< no role > [..]
he run out towards a horse wch he supposeth was his ty'd about two
hundred Yards from Ye Sd Orchard, & endeavour'd to untye ye horse to make
his escape, but being hundred from getting up by this Deponent [..]
got away his bridle in ye Scuttle being Slipt, wch budle ye Sd Ralph Rumball< no role >
flung into a ditch, & being askt what he had flung there Sd it was a Stick
This Deponent farther Maketh Oath that after the horse was get away the
P Ralph Rumball indeavour'd to make his Escape or foot; but being hundred by
ye Deponent, he turn'd again & wth a Clow of a Stick broke ye Deponent
head but that one more cane then into his assistance & soe Key took him:
This Deponent farther Maketh oath that the horse upon wth ye party charg'd
Endeavourd to get upon, to make his Escape had upon his back a Pannell &
two hampers, & in the Said hampers & upon them, two bndles, & a saddle two
Sacks, & Seven her wch he Supposeth this Sd Ralph Rumball< no role > had Stole
And farther ye Deponent Saith not
