This Informant sayth that on munday the 23d of November
Instant he node from Were in the county of H [..] ford to
the Dull [..] in Lordsdon in the said County & the stage
Coach for Dem [..] ford in the said County staying att the
said [..] for refreshmt. of some of their Passengers of
which theire were Right in Number in the Coach besides one
Thomas Burton< no role > gent that itt in the Coach box wth ye Coach
man & the said Burten being of this Informs. accquaintance
this Informt: Offered him to take his place in the white Coachbox &
to lett him wide on the Marte this Informt. had there to
London And the said Burton accepting of the said p Ser [..]
cent this Informant a morning stuff Gowne that the said
Burton then were And the said Burton wede on the said
Mare And this Informant indeing in the said Coach box wth:
the said Gocon towards London the said Coach was besett
with four horsemen and two footmen on standford hill
near Newington in the said County of Middx And the
said ouar Horsemen stopped the Coach herses & knocked down
this Informt. and the said Coachman & some of the house
men with the footmen caused some of the Passengers to
ahte out of the said Coach And this Informant by that
time being rose from the ground & obsereing wt: passed
One of the horsemen came to this Informant & bid him
deliver what he had And this Informant delaying to
doe it the said Horseman putt his hand into this
Inform to Peckett and thereout tooke five pounds of Milled
money (little mene [..] And this Informt; say the that
prsently after another of the said Horsemen came to this
Informt. and bie him look down on else he wente sheet
him with a pissett then in the said Thomans [..] have and
the last said horsman took from him this Informt. the sd.
