Order for the Constables
of the Dutchy Liberty
to place 4 Warders as
soon as Candles are
lighted}


Whereas several Houses and Shops in the Dutchy Liberty in
the Strand in this County have been Robbed in the Evening before
the Watches are Sett For prevention thereof for the future Itt is
thought fitt and Ordered by this Court that the Constables of the said
Liberty upon notice of this our Order doe every Night as soon as Candles are
Lighted sett and place Four able and Sufficient Warders at Convenient
Stands in the high Street between Temple Bar and Salsbury house
in the said Liberty Which said Wardens are to Remaine att such
Stands untill the said Constables have placed their Watches in the
said Street Which the said Constables are hereby required to doe att
Tenn of the Clock in every Night dureing this Winter Quarter as
they Will answer the Contrary att their peril
