By adjournment same Day

Ordered That the sum of Thirty Pounds
being the usual Annual Allowance made to John
Martin for his Attendance as Session Beadle be paid
to him and that the Clerk of the peace do Issue an Order.
upon the Treasurer of this County for the payment
thereof

By adjournment same Day.

A Petition of Henry Bothwell Contractor
for Conveying Vagrants in thro'. and out of this
County being laid before this Court and Read as
follows Vizt..

"To the Honorable the Magistrates for the County
of Middlesex ; -

"The humble Petition of Henry Bothwell< no role >
appointed by your Worships to receive and Convey
Vagrants into and through the County of Middx

"Your humble Petitioner hopes your Worships
will not be offended at his requesting you to take
into your Consideration the very high price of
provisions of every sort and the great and unex-
-pected increase of the price thereof both for suste-
-nance of Vagrants delivered to him as well as
that of Horse provisions which Constitutes of a
very large part of the Expence your Petitioner
being obliged to keep two and frequently Three
Horses employed in Conveying Vagrants in the
several directions thro' the County their passes
require; that the Expence of supporting them is
double what it was at the time Your Petitioner
was first honored with Your Worships appointm-
as also the Expence of keeping the necessary
attendants to assist him in the Execution of the
Duties of his Office by which your Petitioner is
and for some time past has been a Considerable
loser by his Contract, but in the hope that the
